Blabbo Privacy Policy

Blabbo is a word game made by Arbel Collective, based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what information the Blabbo app uses and how it is handled. In short: Blabbo does not collect your name, email, location or any other personal details. The only thing that leaves your device is an anonymous record of which word packs you have bought, so your packs keep working.

What we collect

Blabbo does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect, store on our servers, or share personal information such as your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or advertising ID.

Information saved on your device

To make the game work, Blabbo saves a small amount of information only on your own phone or tablet: your settings (sound, music, vibration), your scores and stats, your daily puzzle streak, your own word list and which word packs you can use. This information is not sent to us. Uninstalling Blabbo deletes it.

Purchases

Blabbo offers optional word packs to buy. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, under their own privacy policies. We never see your card or payment details.

We use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service, to show the current prices and to confirm which packs you own. When the app opens, it sends RevenueCat a random, anonymous app user ID created by the app, along with your purchase history for Blabbo. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email or payment details. The information is sent over an encrypted connection and is used only to make purchases work. Buying word packs

  • Word packs are one-off purchases, not subscriptions. You are never charged again for a pack you own.
  • The price is shown before you buy, in your local currency, and includes any VAT or sales tax.
  • Packs are linked to the Google (or Apple) account you bought them with. Use Restore purchases in the Word Shop to get them back on a new phone.
  • Because a pack unlocks straight away, by buying it you ask for it to be supplied immediately and accept that the usual 14-day cancellation period for digital content no longer applies once it has unlocked. This does not affect your legal rights if a pack is faulty or not as described.
  • Refunds are handled through the store you bought from, under its refund policy. If something has gone wrong with a pack, email us and we will help.

Adverts

Blabbo does not show adverts. If we add adverts in a future version, we will update this policy before that version is released, and explain what information the advertising service uses and the choices you have.

Children

Blabbo is designed for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Purchases are made through the store account on the device, so parents can control them with the store's own purchase approval settings.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you would like your anonymous purchase record removed from RevenueCat, or you have any question about your privacy, contact us and we will help. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

How to delete your Blabbo data

  1. Data on your phone (settings, scores, stats, your own words): uninstall Blabbo, or clear its storage in your phone's Settings → Apps → Blabbo. It is deleted straight away.
  2. Your anonymous purchase record (held by RevenueCat): email arbelcollective@gmail.com with the subject "Blabbo: delete my data". Tell us the date you bought a pack and which pack, so we can find the record. We delete it within 30 days and email you to confirm.

Deleting the purchase record does not take away packs you've bought: they stay linked to your Google or Apple account, and you can get them back with Restore purchases. Google and Apple keep their own record of your payment under their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If Blabbo changes the way it uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
